In the beautiful and unexplored Kwa Zulu Natal Midlands, South Africa, you will find Tanglewood Country House. We are situated 12 kilometers off the R103 on a tarred road, just outside Lions River.

At Tanglewood we offer you a superb Dining experience, from our mouth watering A'la Carte Menu, prepared by a "City and Guilds" accredited Chef.

Enjoy an al fresco hearty breakfast, lunch or sundowners under the shade of our magnificent 100 year old + Wisteria covered Pergola, or alternatively enjoy a cozy fireside dinner in our Country Pub, "The Dargle Inn."

Our menu changes periodically to compliment the change of seasons as well as to make use of the freshest seasonal produce.

We make use of as much local produce as possible including "Dargle Valley Pork," products "Wayfarer" Smoked Trout products and fresh local fruit, herbs and vegetables.

The Pub, carries a range of Local and Imported beers and a selection of Fine Wines from some of the Finest Wine Estates in the country. We also stock a wide variety of Aperitifs and our friendly Barman, Nicholas, is available to assist you wherever he can.

Come rub shoulders with the locals, and enjoy the thrill of the various sporting events, screened on DStv.

We specialize in all special occasions, such as Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries and Conferences (Regret, No Bulls Parties or 21st Birthdays) Menus are tailor made to suit your individual tastes and requirements.

Our restaurant is open from a Wednesday Breakfast through to Sunday Lunch, except for our in house guests, whom we cater for every day.

Reservations are highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
